Qing Dynasty Chinese Cash Coin - 清朝 (Qing Dynasty)
This Chinese Cash Coin was minted during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), a significant period in Chinese history. The obverse of the coin features Chinese characters, which read as “大清光绪通宝” (Da Qing Guangxu Tongbao), indicating the reign of Emperor Guangxu and the denomination of the coin. The square hole in the center is a characteristic feature of Chinese cash coins, which were traditionally used for trade and were often strung together for easy handling.
The reverse side bears additional inscriptions that also reflect the coin's authenticity and monetary value.
